Our History
Our roots lie in the heart of the Viterbo area, about 60 km from Rome, in a territory historically dedicated to hazelnut cultivation.
In 1996, Ecolazio Società Cooperativa Agricola was founded, an organisation that today brings together over 100 local members and producers, united by the same passion for the land and the same commitment to quality.
In 2025, a new chapter opens with the entry into the Stelliferi & Viconuts S.p.A. group, strengthening the company's growth and development path.
To meet the needs of the confectionery and food industry, we have structures and production facilities covering approximately 9,000 sqm.
Here, raw materials are transformed through various processes, from shelling to roasting, up to the production of chopped nuts, flours and pastes.

A territory's excellence
For over twenty years we have been processing and transforming the Organic Tonda Gentile Romana Hazelnut, one of the most appreciated varieties by the confectionery industry.
Its aromatic profile is characterised by a sweet taste, delicate vanilla notes and a low percentage of bitterness.
During roasting, it develops an intense, distinctive aroma, making it particularly suitable for the production of spreadable creams, chocolate, hazelnut pastes and other high-quality preparations.

In addition to the renowned Tonda Gentile Romana Hazelnut, UNIESPORT offers a selection of dried fruit and derivatives. Our catalogue includes walnuts, almonds, pistachios and pine nuts of high quality.
To expand the range, we collaborate with Italian producers to offer you Italian almonds, Sorrento walnuts, pine nuts and pistachios carefully selected.
Our Certifications
Our certifications guarantee quality and transparency: Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and Bioagricert ensure compliance with European organic production methods. Bio Suisse certifies even stricter Swiss standards, while KOSHER attests conformity to Jewish dietary laws.
